Mari Masot is a line of ceramics and the pseudonym of American artist and designer Marissa McInturff. Her background in architecture and food styling has made it easy for her to draw inspiration from the harmonious interaction between nature and human creativity.
Marissa began working with clay in 2016 and works with a small team in the Poblenou neighborhood of Barcelona. She creates her works in small batches and entirely by hand, balancing the traditional nature of the medium with the cultural and architectural influences of her designs.
Her work has been featured in publications such as Vogue, AD and Time Out Barcelona; and sold worldwide in stores: Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles, M+ Museum Hong Kong and Liberty London. The luxury brand Longchamp also invited her to collaborate, and a selection of nine of her large ceramic pieces are part of Google’s permanent collection.
